Zaragoza's first cathedral, raised over the city's former main mosque and layered across centuries into a remarkable blend of Romanesque, Gothic, Mudéjar and Baroque. Its Mudéjar exterior wall earned UNESCO World Heritage listing in 2001, and inside is the Museo de Tapices — one of Europe's finest collections of Flemish tapestries. Standing across Plaza del Pilar from the basilica, La Seo is the older, quieter, more architecturally layered of the two.
