Founded in 1825 and holder of one of the oldest restaurant licences in Spain, Casa Lac is a two-storey institution in the heart of El Tubo — a ground-floor tapas-and-wine bar beneath a preserved Isabeline dining room of wrought-iron staircase, coffered ceilings and parquet. Reopened in 2008 after a careful renovation, it serves traditional Aragonese and Mediterranean cooking with modern touches, and carries nearly two centuries of Zaragoza dining in its bones.
