A former Victorian coal store on the viaduct level of Coal Drops Yard, with exposed brickwork, industrial beams and a lofty ceiling. The black marble dining counter is the seat to take, and there is a private room overlooking Regent's Canal. Much less formal than the grand rooms elsewhere in King's Cross, and better for it: counter seating under a genuinely high coal-store ceiling is a rare combination of casual and monumental.
