The ground-floor bar of the Grade II listed Great Northern Hotel, built 1854 by Lewis Cubitt on a distinctive crescent-shaped plan and among London's first purpose-built railway hotels. Belle Époque meets Art Deco inside: red velvet drapes, dark furniture and two large chandeliers, opening onto the Western Concourse with continental seating facing St Pancras. The hotel now trades as the Kaya Great Northern; the bar keeps its name.
