See the current exhibition (quality varies but DOX books strong international shows), then climb to the Gulliver airship on the roof for the spatial experience and views. The bookshop and café are both excellent. Walk the Holešovice neighborhood afterward — industrial conversions, galleries, and craft beer bars.
Weekday afternoon for the exhibitions without weekend crowds. The neighborhood comes alive in the evening with restaurant and bar culture.
Opened in 2008 in a former metalworking factory. The Gulliver zeppelin installation (2016, designed by Martin Rajniš) is a functional exhibition and event space suspended above the building. DOX focuses on architecture, design, and contemporary art with a social dimension. The programming is more ambitious than the National Gallery's contemporary wing. Holešovice has transformed from industrial wasteland to creative district in the past two decades — DOX is a major anchor. Metro C to Vltavská, then a 10-minute walk.
