Ekebergrestauranten

A 1929 Functionalist building — an architectural landmark — set in the Ekeberg sculpture park with what may be Oslo's best fjord view. Norwegian classics with that view: excellent seafood, a prix fixe for the full experience, champagne on the terrace. Come for a sunset dinner with fjord views, or the popular Sunday brunch, and reserve window seats specifically. Take tram 18 or 19 up the hill, and dress up slightly. It is a destination in every sense — landmark architecture, a sculpture park surrounding it, and a panorama over the fjord that no city-level restaurant can match. Worth the tram ride for the view alone, and the kitchen earns the setting.
