The Morandi collection moved from Palazzo d'Accursio (Piazza Maggiore) to MAMbo at Via Don Minzoni 14. Morandi spent his entire life in Bologna, painting still lifes in his studio on Via Fondazza. He refused abstraction, refused narrative, painted the same objects for 50 years. His work influenced minimalism and conceptual art despite being figurative. The museum holds over 200 works donated by his sisters. If you find Morandi boring, you are not looking slowly enough.
