Three medieval towers and their connecting bridges over the Ill's channels — 'covered' in name only now, the wooden roofs long gone, but the fortified towers still stand exactly where the city's defences once controlled the water approach to Petite France. One of the most photographed spots in Strasbourg, and one of the few genuinely free ones.
