One of Oslo's first microbreweries, brewing since 1989, in a residential corner of Majorstuen well away from the tourist track — old-school craft beer without any of the hype that came later. The pilsner is solid in the traditional Norwegian style, but the move is whatever seasonal they are pouring. Wooden booths and a cozy local crowd make it the place to escape the west side's winter cold, and the pub food is hearty enough to settle in around. It is craft beer from before craft beer was a scene, and it wears those decades comfortably.
