A French Quarter cocktail bar named for Antoine Peychaud, whose bitters — created in the 1830s — gave the Sazerac its soul, so there is only one thing to order here and it is the Sazerac. Think of it as paying homage at the source. It pours the same quality as the more famous Sazerac Bar but draws thinner crowds, which makes it the better choice for a proper pre-dinner cocktail with room to breathe. There is real history in every sip, and the bar wears it lightly.
