Out In The Cold

dive·$$·Irish Channel
Editor's Pick

A tiny buzz-to-enter neighborhood dive in the Irish Channel that regulars know as Pete's — a single small room, cheap longneck beers, and an old-school jukebox doing exactly what a jukebox should. There is nothing complicated here and that is the whole appeal: you buzz in, you grab a cold longneck, you become part of a genuine neighborhood joint for an evening. It fills in the evening when the locals show up, cash is preferred, and the room is small enough that everyone is more or less in the same conversation by the end of the night.
