Rafa Pena's creative Catalan restaurant in the Eixample that operates at Michelin-star level without the Michelin-star posturing — the room is casual, the service is warm, and the cooking (which draws on Catalan tradition but refuses to be limited by it) is consistently surprising. The tasting menu changes with the market and Pena's imagination. Gresca Bar, the more casual space next door, serves vermouth and tapas with the same quality philosophy.
