Barcelona's benchmark artisan gelateria, on the leafy pedestrian end of Enric Granados. DelaCrem works like a kitchen rather than a sweet shop — seasonal, limited-edition flavours (blood orange sorbet, Parmigiano with pink pepper) rotate through the cabinet alongside faultless classics, and the texture is the dense, slow-melting kind that only daily small-batch production delivers. The second shop, delaCrem Creativa on Passeig de Sant Joan, is the experimental arm; Enric Granados is the original.

The pistachio or the mascarpone as a baseline, plus whatever limited edition is on the board — the seasonal fruit sorbets are the reason to come back twice.
Late afternoon, folded into an Eixample walk — Enric Granados is one of the calmest, prettiest streets in the district and the terrace crowd makes for good company.
Carrer d'Enric Granados 15, a short walk from Universitat metro. Second branch (delaCrem Creativa) at Passeig de Sant Joan 59. Expect a queue on warm evenings; it moves quickly.
