Passeig Marítim

The palm-lined seafront promenade running from beneath the church out toward Terramar, linking Sitges' chain of beaches past modernista villas, beach clubs, seafront restaurants and terraces. The town's great walking axis and its sunset stage, where the Mediterranean is always in view.

Daytime

(3)

A stroll or a beach day along the promenade — the family beaches near the centre, the design hotels and beach clubs toward Terramar. Seafront lunch at Fragata beneath the church, or a rice dish with a sea view.

Restaurante Fragata

For over half a century, Fragata has held the best table in Sitges — at the foot of the Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla church, metres from La Ribera beach, with a modernista interior and a seafront terrace seating more than a hundred. It is a Mediterranean seafood specialist, its lobster dishes a signature, and its church-and-sea backdrop makes it one of the most photographed dining terraces on the whole Catalan coast.

Order: A lobster (bogavante) dish on the seafront terrace — the signature, and the setting is the reason to book. Fresh Mediterranean fish is the broader strength.Best: Lunch or an early dinner on the terrace for the church-and-sea view and the golden-hour light off La Ribera beach.

Beso Beach Sitges

A beachfront chiringuito and beach club at the ME Sitges Terramar hotel on Terramar beach, Beso Beach brings a Basque-Mediterranean menu — grilled fresh seafood, an oyster bar, a pool bar — to the western end of the promenade. The beach club runs through the afternoon and the restaurant into the night with live DJs, making it one of the town's prime sunset-and-dinner spots on the sand.

Order: Grilled fresh seafood or oysters with a cocktail as the sun drops — this is a sunset-on-the-sand spot as much as a kitchen. The pool bar runs through the afternoon.Best: Late afternoon into sunset — beach club noon to 18:00, restaurant 11:00 to 02:00 with DJs. The golden hour on Terramar beach is the draw.

Café Sardina

A seafront café on the Passeig de la Ribera with a terrace facing La Ribera beach, Café Sardina is the classic promenade spot for a coffee or a light meal with the Mediterranean in view. It serves rice dishes and tapas with an emphasis on local products, and its position on the seafront makes it a natural morning-coffee or mid-stroll pause on the walk along the beach.

Order: A coffee or a light rice-and-tapas lunch on the terrace, taken for the beachfront view as much as the plate. A promenade breakfast is the classic move.Best: Morning coffee facing the beach, or a mid-stroll pause. Open Mon–Fri from 10:00, weekends from 09:00.

Evening & Night

(1)

Sunset from the promenade is the ritual; beach clubs like Beso Beach run DJs into the evening, and the seafront terraces catch the last light. Quieter than the old-town strip, but the sea air draws its own crowd.
