Two Michelin stars since before most restaurants in Brussels existed, and an Art Nouveau interior designed by Valère Dumortier in the Horta tradition that would be reason enough to visit even if the kitchen served nothing at all. Comme Chez Soi has been the Wynants family project since 1926 — nearly a century of Belgian haute cuisine refined to a state of quiet perfection. The dining room is an intimate jewel box of sinuous ironwork and stained glass, every seat framed by the curving lines Dumortier borrowed from his master's vocabulary. The cooking is classical French-Belgian at its most exacting: langoustines, sole, game in season, sauces built with the patience of another era. This is not innovation for its own sake but mastery sustained across generations.
