Bozar (Centre for Fine Arts)

historic·Mont des Arts

Victor Horta's 1920s Art Deco cultural center near the Mont des Arts — a single building containing concert halls, galleries, and performance spaces under flowing, ingeniously planned interiors. Horta, the great pioneer of Art Nouveau, here worked in a more restrained Deco register, solving the puzzle of fitting a vast cultural complex onto a difficult sloping site. The result is one of Europe's foremost arts centers, home to a celebrated concert hall. For visitors, it's both an architectural landmark from a master and a living institution, with a program spanning music, exhibitions, and film.
